All I will say is that it is excruciatingly boring. That said it's hard not to remember there are two parties sitting there that have a lot at stake and we are all trying to pay attention because I think we all really want to do what's right.
That said. Boring.
Today was the boy's first day of school. Luckily I had time to drive them to school and walk D7 into first grade. Of course he did great and barely even said good-bye to me. Actually, he didn't say good-bye to me.
I missed picking them up, but they both had a great day and my brain is fried and I can't wait until Friday.
Hope you are all having a great day.

Love the blog post title! Doodie indeed.
First days of school...and they don't say good-bye. How do they grow up so fast?
We don't have jury doodle in the Netherlands. We just have a judge.I'm sorry you got such a boring case. It must be tough to hang in there, but please, hang in there. It will be over soon.
I hope I never ever have jury duty. what a way to spoil a great week.
I can't tell you how mad I'd be if school started this week. But for some reason it should have, but is a week later this year.
I've been on call for jury duty for 6 weeks. I have until the end of August to go. I begged off due to my kids, but they've waited. I'm guessing soon, since they think they should both be in school, I'll get called. I'll have to show up with the little one so they let me off.
P. Charming was on a couple of juries a couple of years ago. I will say that be glad it's boring. His was about molestation, and it rocked him to the core. He was a wreck for quite a while after because it was so horrible. (And during it he couldn't talk about it.)
No twitter? No blog screen hidden in the folds of your skirt? Man, you are one civic-minded jurist. Doodie, indeed!
It's got to be done, but it would nice to get something with a little excitement to it.
Youre a good citizen
First day of school?! I'm jealous! Jury Doodie... not jealous...
I've never been on a real jury (I did mock ones in law school).
I hope you got through it without too much head bobbing sleepiness.
:)
Mine is walking to and from school now. I had a complete and utter panic attack the other day over it, but it's me, not him. And we don't even live maybe 1/4 mile from the school. Actually probably literally like two blocks. But still. He was just five.
Doodie, my kids would just crack up! Any time the word duty is mentioned, they laugh, "They said doodie."
My kids started school yesterday. My youngest, now 5th grade was not going to tell my good bye. We walked into the cafateria, spotted her friends, and walked away from me like I'm a leper.
School started! Yay!
Sorry about your boring case. Any chance you can slip on your iPhod earphones? f you have long hair and disguise the wire under your clothes, they won't be able to tell ;-)
And if you get busted, I had absolutely nothing to do with this crazy idea. ;-)
